On July 2nd, Jim Halbert and Ben Atanacio provided the special music for our 10 o’clock worship. The unusual combination of baritone, handbells and keyboard was a winning one! Thanks to both men for sharing their time and talent.

To be thinking about Rally Day and the kick-off to our Christian Education Year. Our Sunday School classes are growing and we NEED YOU! Please email or call Pastor Gregg if you’d like to volunteer to co-teach this year.
At Annual Conference we were encouraged to have Courageous Conversations surrounding the current social issues facing our larger denomination. Round Table Discussions will be held in late July and early August so that we may build bridges within our own local church. Look for more information in the weeks ahead.
There will be a Youth Choir from Bethel Park, PA visiting us from Sunday, July 26th – Tuesday, July 28th. Volunteers are needed to shower them with refreshments. We are looking for ice for coolers, canned or bottled drinks, and cookies/brownies. Please see the sign-up sheet at the Oakgrove entrance.
Additionally, we are looking to host a “Donation Only” parking lot during Old Home Days. We need volunteers from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on July 11 -14th. Monies from this fundraiser will benefit youth and children’s ministries. Please sign up or call the office for more details!

Building Campaign Update
Progress continues on paying down the bank line of credit. The outstanding loan is now $6,825. Just a reminder that any donations made before the end of June will reduce the amount we need to borrow from the permanent endowment to pay off the loan by the end of the month.
Thanks again to all that have supported the effort to “close the gap” and advance thanks to all who intend to participate in this effort. We are well on our way to meeting our goal!

Our summer schedule for Sunday mornings and weekday office hours is now in effect. During this time, there is one Sunday worship celebration at 10 a.m. each week. Also during this time, office hours will be reduced to 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. These hours will be in effect until Rally Day Sunday, September 10, 2017.
