We are deeply committed to providing opportunities for involvement in and support of outreach and missions within the congregation, our local community, and beyond.

Each month, our missions team offers a opportunity to serve, give, or partner with the community and world around us.

September Mission: The September missional event supports another local cause. Harvest House is an organization that supports families on Buffalo’s east side. They “provide baby supplies, access to healthcare internal, mental health, counseling and dental care), job training, and assistance with renal problems.”

Last year, Harvest House started a “BABY SHOWER” campaign in an attempt to involve suburban communities to help supply them with baby items desperately needed. While last year’s drive was successful,
Harvest House cannot keep up with the demands of assisting the over 350 babies and children annually.

We would like to respond to HH’s request and join in their efforts by “hosting” a WUMC Harvest House Baby Shower for the entire month of September. We are launching our ‘shower’ on SUNDAY SEPT 8th with a party in the parlor after 11am worship. Bring your items to church for this KICK OFF event!

Then for the rest of the month, we will be accepting any much needed and appreciated donations of diapers (sizes 2,3,4 and 5), baby bottles, socks (for children 3+), wash cloths, diaper lotion, baby shampoo lotion and new or gently used clothing.
